lemme splain a few things:

A. I gave him the name Duke.

B. I've known and respected him for over 30 years. Its a music thang.

C. We don't necessarily always agree. In fact, sometimes we fued and fuss.

D. He said Cureton was a lying sack of shit and I ARGUED with him about it, and I lived to tell about it. I also lived to apologize to Duke about it, because he was RIGHT, 1000%. And he was a man about it, he FORGAVE me, and we picked it back up where it fell off, which I respect like a motherfucker.

E. Whatever he says is ok in my book, even when I disagree, which I do more than i let on, I still respect him musically and especially as an individual who can handle me being me without freaking out too much. I do know him better than most people, he has a whole musical side that people don't realize, kind of his non blues side. He's a true musician, and one of the San Antonio originals, he makes his own rules, I like that. I make my own rules, and I always have. Even though me & Duke are 2 different worlds, the fact we make our own worlds is why we like each other. I would like him, whether he liked me or not, because I have a deep musical respect for him, and stuff like that matters a lot to me.
