PPX: He mixed a gig in Austin? So fucking what? MIXING ain't nothing, its just adjusting volumes on a mixer. Volume is the easiest adjustment in the music business, can you hear it? No? Turn it up. Is it too loud? Yes? Turn it down. There is one "slider" or "knob" for each sound. Its not an intellectual feat to know which knob does what, they always put a strip of tape down and write which sound is on what knob. An idiot could do it.

This is where you are so wrong, PPX. Mixing takes such talent and intelligence. One must possess an extraordinary mind and cultivate this skill to be a master mixer. It requires a great deal of thought and study, which takes many years. Specialized physical exercises for the fingers is encouraged for precise turning of knobs. Finally, one must complete a 2 year internet correspondence course titled, "Mixing for Drunks" which is really a course for aspiring bartenders, but in Steve's case, will suffice. Only then may one graduate with the designation of "Mixer Dick cum Softa" and be able to mix on 6th Street in Austin.
