i know just what you mean about samples...i went through the same exact thing with web design, and to some extent, digital art. i used to grab widgets off of websites, change 'em around so that it wouldn't be someone else's shit exactly, and use them myself. i just lost satisfaction doing that and decided i would make everything i put on a page on my domain, period. it just dinna have any meaning unless i did.

i just installed a bunch of stuff (uncracked) from sonic foundry's site, some plug-ins for sound forge and a noise reducer. i am having trouble cleaning up the choronzon tracks, which is pissing me off, i think i will put them on the site as a curiosity since they MADE A FUCKING EARTHQUAKE HAPPEN (or so i seem compelled to think since loma prieta happened 45 minutes or so after the completion of the tape back in '89. it's just that the mix was so bad and the digital REMIX was even WORSE, and it's just not listenable, even for hard core oldschool industrial music fans. maybe this plug in will help get rid of the pops and blips but i tried a lot of those, to no avail. do you ever have a problem with this sort of noise, and getting rid of it?

i'll have to listen to HOLY COW again knowing about the cowboys and indians thing. that's pretty clever there. i wanted to put some samples on a choronzon track called MANIFEST DESTINY - i wanted a sample from a fifties teevee or radio programme with those "injun" war whoops from one of those corny westerns...dunno if bonernanza ever had any of those, but i'll bet you would.
