I had another classic popeye-x nightmare last night (this morning)

its was a ricochet reality dream

you know what I mean, the insanity of reality penetrates the inner reaches of your psyche, slamming into the center, bouncing off the Main Brain Cell in the middle, shattering it, and the whole story explodes into shrapnel, bouncing around off the walls insdie your skull, as the debris from this head-on collision settles, it gels in a loose pile of random details.

its all there, but its been pulverized, some of the chunks are recognizable, "ah, yes, that's an idea I had one time", or it might be a face from the wrong head, a moral from the wrong story, a symbol of the truth that's been mangled almost beyond recognition.

you know better than to try and figure it out, but you get tired from the agony of trying to ignore it, you fall asleep, and your mind gets busy trying to sort it out and put a coherent picture together, that's what comes out as your dream.

Its ugly, so its upgraded to a full blown nightmare. Reality is a lot like Steve Cureton, there is no limit to the depth of depravity it will go to. NOTHING is too gross or low down for Reality. Its AWFUL, but Reality doesn't mind, its seen it all, the most horrible shit in our lives is nothing compared to what Reality has seen time and time again, it rolls over you like a steamroller over an ant, the roadkill is YOU, but its very, very tiny, no one even notices the single microscopic strain on the pavement.

you try to mark the spot, "hey, everybody, look what happened right here!" you point to the spot where it happened, your friends gather around and squint, "I think I see it" they're trying to help, they're your friends, but they can barely even see it, if at all.

in the end, all you have to prove it ever happened is your twisted nightmare, its branded into your soul, and its there for you to browse when you feel so inclined.
