Re: Hi, Hempec... you're too, too much

The thing I think I hate most about our culture is the loss of simple pleasures. We are so wound up with our quest for the dollar almighty, that we forget to take a breath, chill out, and maybe take a walk. Chocolate is one simple pleasure that I will not forget.

Is it just me, or did this country totally miss the point on the local bar/pub/tavern? I can't stand going to these places. All I see are superficial, young adults who dress in their finest, trying to get noticed. They are largely unapproachable, though. Their body language says, "Stay the fuck away from me creep!!", and if you try to strike up a conversation, they slip out of it as quickly as possible. Is this an ironic twist on a social tradition or are we as a people just this anal about our insecurities and personal space? Maybe these people are just unapproachable to me.

I'm going to read a book and take a bath and go back to bed. At least in sleep I can find comfort.
