Just by a major coincidence the bidg hot spell in Texas coincided with my long planned labor day vacation to Colorado. Seem the day I left the temps here started to climb and they dropped back to normal as I returned... (Why is that??) anyway when SA was roasting at 112º F, I was on Pikes Peak where the Temperature was a rather balmy 26º F, One hell of a view from up there, but the road up is a nightmare, in Colorado they never heard of a guard rail on the roads, closest thin was a 1ft tall pile of graded up dirt and gravel at the edge of a drop off of at least a mile (or so it seemed) going up was the worst because you are on the outside and have to pass the fools barreling down the mountain without being in first gear. But I do have to say the view was worth the torment required to reach the summit but only just barely. -Stash
