what about sideways?

yes, the Earth is turning 900 miles per hour on its axis

but meanwhile, its also going sideways, almost 40 times faster, around the sun, approximately 33,000 mph.

compared to the speed of orbiting the Sun, the Earth's rotation is very laid back, almost lackadasical...

but it ain't over

because the sun, and everything locked into its orbit, is also orbiting an even larger mass, the Milky Way, and this little speck of a solar system is moving MUCH MUCH faster around something bigger

the bigger the cycle gets, the faster it seems to be moving which is very odd considering what forces it must have taken to set it all in motion
