Did you ever consider doing an intervention for Popeye-x? We could stop at the Kwik-E mart for some Pepperidge Farms Sausalito cookies and orange juice on the way over, and sit around in comfortable chairs discussing in hushed tones exactly how fucked up he is.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm talking about art. ("When anybody says the word 'art' to me, they better be talking about Linkletter." - Louis "I said something funny in 1962" Nye) The artistry of your work is threatened, Popeye-x.
I shudder to think of what Dali or Picasso did when they got too complacent. Pablo probably rammed his withered dick up another whore, and Salvador probably slathered mayonnaise on a wristwatch. The point is, they took a break every once in a while, and when they came back they were even more fucked up in a brilliant brain-fuck way.
Maybe Popeye-x should take a break from the Turkie/Tacki battle for a moment to regather his considerable imagination for the final assault. An absolute dissolution of any knowlege or concern for their ill-being for oh, maybe a year or so. Let them get loose and sloppy and run out of steam, while Popeye-x rubs all the skin of his hands and grows hoarse from cackling to himself in the wee hours.
The best reason I can think of for doing so, and the only reason I would even raise the issue, is; here we are. Why not?
Nothing anybody has done so far has changed their "minds." Maybe a year or so of wondering what the fuck he's gonna do will give them those facial tics that always stand out in family gatherings, with little kids standing around thinking to themselves "what the FUCK happened to Aunt Turkie? Hope that isn't genetic!"
In the meantime, every plot device, practical joke and/or breathtaking act of uselessness could be weighed and evaluated by a select committee bent on total domination of all arguments as to the sheer suction of Mssr. Bolton and herd. Something to think about.
Now, who's gonna bring the rope?
