Moving Sidewalks was Billy Gibbons' band. They toured with Jimi Hendrix when Billy was about 18 years old. I read in an interview that he and Jimi got all fucked up, attached sponges to the headstocks of their guitars and dipped them in paint, then made paintings with their guitars turned up to 11. That must have been really cool. Loud noises, bright colors and a head full of acid, jamming with Jimi Hendrix and painting at the same time. Kind of makes you wonder why he settled for that "12-bar-blues-and-drum-machines" sound for the last umpteen albums. Don't get me wrong, I love BG. I just wish he would color outside the lines again.
