Jeez, that's actually refreshing. Though you can smell the Rush on him, he actually isn't that crazy. He can actually put sentences together, even if he's stupid. I mean, we've all seen worse, right? I thought I'd throw some of this stuff out there, sort of bug repellent: ---------------------------------------------
"The greatest leaders in fighting for an integrated America in the twentieth century were in the Democratic Party. The fact is, it was the liberal wing of the Democratic party that ended segregation. It was FDR who gave hope to a nation that was in despair and could have slid into dictatorship. And the fact is, every Republican has much to learn from studying what Democrats did right." - Newt Gingrich, first speech as Speaker of the House, 1995
"Everything ought to be based on potential. Everyone should be treated alike, whether they're black or brown or disabled or homosexual." - Bob Dole
"He [Jimmy Carter] is without a doubt the most consistent citizen of our former Presidents. If you watch him, you get a little shamed into being a better citizen yourself." -Trent Lott, speech at Kennesaw State College, 1993
"High-tech is potent, precise, and in the end, unbeatable. The truth is, it reminds a lot of people of the way I pitch horseshoes. Would you believe some of the people? Would you believe our dog? Look, I want to give the high-five to high-tech." - George Bush Sr. (obviously on some sort of painkillers)
"I love California. I practically grew up in Phoenix!" - Dan "gee, why are they laughing?" Quayle
"I'm all for Lawrence Welk. Lawrence Welk is a wonderful man. He used to be, or was, or- wherever he is now, bless him." - GW, (trying to remember if Lawrence Welk was dead or alive at the time. BTW, he was.)
"Maaaah! Nuhhhhhhhhhhhhh..." - Ronald Reagan, this morning.
