Look Within For Truths.. Look without For Reality!
I think people rely much too heavily upon books written long ago by other people to make us think what they wanted us to think. Ever notice how no two preachers interpret it the same? That's becuse they are all cleverly written so that it can be twisted to mean whatever they need it to... It's just like that black lady madam cleo who's always telling fortunes on the TV, the cards mean whatever she wants them too. The message is tailored to the preacher and whatever he wants to manuever his flock into doing. Same holds true for the Koran, the baghvadgita etc etc. etc. Tell me why would people of the past have a monopoly on god? Do we not evolve and progress toward a greater state of perfection? Should we not now be closer to god than ever? Where's the burning bush today? Seen any seas parted lately? Anyone you know building an ark? I think these books are all 10% fact and 90% bullshit, trouble is most people edit out the 10% and quote the 90% like god wrote it himself. GOD DID NOT WRITE THE BIBLE! I know this might come as earth shattering to some but it's true. It's a collection of legends, tales etc. that were not written down untill long after they are supposed to have occured. Even the parts about Jesus himself weren't written untill 20 yrs later. Does this mean it's not true? No, but it doesn't mean it all is true either. I belive god is so far beyond us that we not only don't understand him but we are probably incapable of understanding him. How do we presume to to describe god? I think god was no more present in the past than he is now. I think he interacted with people in the past exactly like he does now. And many of the fantastic tales from the past are just that, fantastic tales, stories told my dreamers, lyers and probably a few schitzophrenics, god talks to schitzophrenics even today... I do belive there is a god, I just don't understand him and probably never will at least in this lifetime. -Stash
