I agree Mr. Ed, and I recommend "Sweet William" from his site www.spreadeagleranch.com for a lil' hair-raisin' Mugtonianism to chaw on. He's a hell of a writer... but he's an even better READER! He IS the voice. I'm trying to get him down here to San Antonio, so I can record him readin' his own shit. I wanna put a plaintive cattle drive harmonica behind it, I know I would get a hemorroid from laughing so hard. Mugtoe reminds me exactly of a Sam Elliot with a Lou Reed streak, crossed with the truth of a Charles Bukowski, and filtered thru the BALLS of a Rowdy Yates. Like a Festus Haggin who has read actual literature before. I'm gonna sign him to a contract with Popeye-X Audio Books, and make some kick-ass competition for the Rod McKuen's and de THING-FISH's.
