I am absolutely astounded at the action, or lack of it, by the U.S. State Department and our Immigration Service. I think that it amounts to dereliction of duty at best and maybe worse. In the last two days 14 Syrian young men between the ages of 25 and 35 deplaned at Dallas -Fort Worth International Airport. They all had valid Syrian passports, student visas, and had their I-20 student notification forms in hand. Their student visas expire in April 2002. They are legal immigrants to the U.S. Have any idea what they are here for? All fourteen of them are headed for flight school at Meacham Field, Fort Worth. It is nice there for Syrians because three of the six flight training schools there are owned by Near Easterners. For example Qualiflight Aeronautics there is owned by Khaled Miloud who says that Arabic is the language of his school. Some of the 14 students are here for single engine training and some for multi-engine training. I am reminded that a top al Qaeda spokesman, Suleiman abu Ghaith stated recently--since Sept 11, "Thousands of young Muslims want to die as martyrs and the storm of airplanes will not stop". Bear in mind that Syria is a country that is defined by our State Department as "Harboring and providing refuge to terrorists." A spokesman at the Dallas FBI office said that a whole flood of Syrian student pilots had entered the country in the last few weeks mostly headed for the Dallas Fort Worth area. Well, we usually have good flying weather in November. I am disgusted. In a lighter vein are you aware that Publishers Clearing House mailed several hundred thousand letters yesterday containing samples of laundry detergent----a white powder. What a weird advertising act. If you would like to get my sources for the Syrian story it is on http://www.worldnetdaily.com Check it out.
