I was never a fan of Bob Seger either, but certain of his songs evoke key memories for me. I don't know what it is, but there is some music that unlocks file folders in my brain - like a password that is not obvious. "Sunspot Baby" (?) was the song I remember from the Chez Pussycat, a nude bar where I hung out when I was 16. Peaches & Herb's "Reunited" unlocks that same folder. That place was the size of a living room and had a single, circular stage in the middle of it where the girls danced. There was no liquor, but $6 cover got you free set-ups all night, and the girls would spread it all for you. That shouldn't have made a difference to me, but hey, I was 16. Anything worked at that point. The Live LP makes me think of Sid's Dallas Palace of Billiards in downtown where I met and hung out with most of the folks who eventually migrated to the Eighth Day. I'm glad you mentioned him.
