Believe it or not, we played at Bob Seger's wedding in 1993. (I think it might have been his 4th marriage). He's a great fuckin guy. If you listen to his words, they are from the soul and just as profound as Springsteen, John Cougar Melonhead, Tom Petty or any American singer/songwriter we have today. He might not be as deep as Dylan, but in my humble opinion, he says the same shit much simpler. I'll never forget watching him dance with his bride and singing Walk Away Rene while we played it! He didn't have a mic but I watched him sing to her with his eyes closed while we played it. You probably had to be there, but it was awesome. He didn't want to come up and "jam" like the rest of his band, but he had a great time. Check out Fire Lake, Against the Wind, and Hollywood Nights for 3 particularly great Seger songs. Listen to the words, the chords, the feel, and the voice and you'll agree it doesn't get any better than that. Don't get me started. I hate music!!
