In 1973, Der Tremoloids were in the alley behind the Gunter Hotel, on break from an important Sam Kinsey gig, and Butch Denney picked up a rock and said to Mike Taylor, "this is what I think of you", and he threw the rock down the alley, away from the band. The rock hit one wall, then another, and continued to ricochet madly until, my a miracle, it bounced back and hit Mike Taylor square in the forehead.
