Last night I got this phone call from some guy in Nashville who wants to record his church group, I said, "yeah, I've done that" then I attempterd to explain "the key to the whole thing is the X-Y mic'ing pattern in the center with two condenser mics" and this Christian asshole cut me off in mid lecture, I HATE THAT SHIT, and he says "I know about that, I just wanna know what machine?" I said "what machine? Use any machine you like, its the same mic'ing pattern." I only just now realized this IDIOT Christian (I swear I am not making this up just because Claude Morgan is an idioric Christian, too) saw that my studio is named Church Of Machines, he wants to record his church, so "WHAT MACHINE DO I GET?" I said get whatever you want, its all the same. He said, "we used to record directly on to CD." Whoo hooo, whoopie fucking dooo., and I am only now just realizing that has been Claude Morgan's big recording plan, recording directly onto CD from the mixing board, and its READY TO DUPLICATE and sell at the same gig as a souveneir. "You're not even going to listen to it one time?" to which Morgan told me, "Well, they were at the gig, they know how it went." That is so painfully idiotic I can barely grasp what is being said. The only connecting link thru all of this random stupidity is dumb-ass rude Christians who think recording is an automatic process you don't even have to listen to.
