He called me up, all messed up (drunk), and said he had some songs to record, nomally I would talk my way out of it, but I loved Hans, so I said "C'mon over". He came a few days later, he was sober, he had all his parts ready, it was as smooth of a session as you could ever want, we got 2 out of 3 songs tracked, one got away. He was very despondent about Anita and his daughters. He told me about his dad for the first time, who is permanently disabled from a failed suicide attempt. Most people don't know he shot Anita 6 times, superficially, at her place of work, then he went to her church and shot himself in the parking lot. That was Halloween, 1996, it still hurts a lot to even write this. (wipes tears) I'm just glad Anita didn't die, I didn't know that for about 8 hours, I was out of my mind until I heard that. It was a horrible experience, afterthat, I don't like Halloween anymore.
