Ok, I was pretty young, but I remember going downtown somewhere and seeing the opening of Yellow Submarine.Yeah, we thought we were very cool, but as we sat down with all these hippie types, we suddenly felt young and scared. Then, some people started smoking this stuff that smelled strange, and it dawned on us that it was "Mary-J", and we were sniffing it and watching people passing joints. Since we were just kids, they didn't pass it to us, but I remember feeling nervous and alive and excited all at the same time. We were so hip, sitting in with this crowd, right? What an experience! The movie was great, it was a different time when you could appreciate the music and the artistry...it was so-- Peter Max.
