Crazy Otto was one of these major game hacks. that worked for a company called General Computer Corporation by using Pac-Man boards. They had added a great deal of material to the original Pac-Man code, including brighter colors, moving fruits, more difficult monster movement, mulitple mazes, and new intermissions. GCC employees loved the game and thought it could make a great deal of money. But with Midway and Namco suing other manufacturers for selling unauthorized hacks to Pac-Man boards at the time, GCC decided to pitch the game to Midway themselves. In the meantime, Midway execs were frantic while waiting for Namco to finish their first follow up to Pac-Man. However, Namco was taking their time in releasing what would come to be known as Super Pac-Man. Then came the Crazy Otto pitch from GCC. It was the solution Midway was looking for.
