interesting post, stash, as are your posts just about always, but here's something to knock against your head and see what spills out. not all of the so-called 'left' are anal retentive policy wonks. in fact, that needs to be repeated loud enough to hear. NOT ALL OF THE SO-CALLED "LEFT" ARE ANAL RETENTIVE POLICY WONKS. some of us - shit, dare i say maybe even most of us at least here in CALIFORNIA are insanely CURIOUS about science being used for anything other than developing new more efficient ways of killing furriners and torturing seditious dissenting types [points to self] locked up in corporatist re-education/cheap-as-fuck-labor-pool-facilities, i.e. federal prisons. when that guy made the white rabbit glow green, what did i say? i said, 'provided the rabbit isn't in obvious pain, GROOVY! i wonder if it would glow in my black light?" a lot of us LIBERAL CRAZEOIDS are ready to deal with other intelligent life forms besides humans. oh, sorry, did i just call humans an intelligent life form?
