What they need over there is Patrick Swayze. Remember in "Red Dawn" how the commies took over Main Street, U.S.A., and ol' Pat took a bunch of high school underachievers and turned them into a squad of elite commandos? Well, by the current definition those guys would be "insurgents." Basically, I think it means that if some fuckers invade your country and you fight back, if you're in 'Merica you're a "patriot." If you're anywhere else you're an "insurgent." I don't know about anybody else, but I haven't heard the word before, but I seem to remember it being used way back in the waning days of 'Nam. Walter Cronkite intoning something about "Communist insurgents today did something to somebody..." I only remember it because I was a little kid and thought he said "surgeons." I mean, it's not like the gang at FOX news is going to suddenly start saying; "Today, Iraqi patriots blew up an oil pipeline and shot a bunch of people..." but still, it's just semantics. I have absolutely no idea of what my point is, so don't give me any shit about it. I'm a goddamn patriot, even if I'm dumber than a sack of dog hair.
