Hey, I understand completely, Ableton is pretty much like ACID, but with a stack of loops per track, instead of just one. Also Ableton memorizes your moves. Reaktor is another beast entirely, it MAKES the loops. Sound forge CUTS 'em. Ableton PLAYS them. And ACID makes them sound like shit. Its a bit depth thing. If ACID was processing audio at 32 bits, it would sound buttery, like Ableton and Reaktor, instead of grainy, like the original Emax. But Emax's are still loved BECAUSE they sound like shit. They're very "aggressive" sounding. Another term might be: "rock and roll". A little fuzz never hurt any instrument.
