For anyone who happens to stumble across this lovely website from hell....well hey...get a grip...Dr. Popeye -X Rules! His way or the Highway...if you don't like it..get the hell out of Dodge Dude! I used to be Devilfish...my nickname 'cuz I collected laminated Devilfish from Galveston....Dr. Popeye-X was my music mentor by osmosis since I was 13!!!!! He knows every stupid, idiotic, crazy, insane, out of my mind thing I ever did...but now, after being brought back from being clinically dead several times, and from drug overdoses and suicide attempts, and literally being seconds from death through accidents...I came to the BEST Producer there is...

Yes, maybe I screamed bloody murder when rats jumped out at me from boxes and chased me in the bathroom....I went through recording BOOTCAMP with DPX, and am grateful for the experience! Yes, maybe a swarm of bees from hell attacked my vehicle once when we sat in my vehicle to test drive a scratch track we were working on, called 'LIFE'...hey he acually heard me cuss...cuz he sat there in disbelief with the door open on his side, and the swarm was so thick the sky through the windshield looked BLACK! It was 911 time...He did a KICK-ASS recording for me and the bees got so stirred up they ATTACKED the vehicle!!!!! This is a true story. When it the song finished playing, the bees left and DPX started throwing stuff at their nest on the side of his recording studio...I was DONE for the day..."SEE YA!!!! I'M OUTTA HERE!!!!"

...Maybe I hacked him off several times because I have been playing guitar for 40!!!! years and don't know WHAT THE HECK I AM DOING!!!! ..."Cynthia...you are 50!!!! and you don't know what chords you are playing!!????"..."NO!!! AND I AM NOT GONNA LEARN NOW!!!!!"...He spent so much time with me helping me zero in and become the best guitar player (12 string) I could ever imagine...He missed his calling in life...DPX is an excellent TEACHER!!!!! He would have been one of the best professors of music for young people there ever was....

Yes, maybe he drove me INSANE talking ..ABSOLUTELY EVERY WORD OF IT IS TRUE about Taylor, Cureton, and Cox...but I listened....I care, because I loved cats and what was done to him was HORRIBLE!!!!! He's not making it up...One thing DPX is NOT..he is NOT a LIAR!!!!

And yes, maybe he did buy me a Barbie Coloring Book and crayons when we started the project, so that I would be quiet and leave him alone while he was setting up and mixing..You self liberated haters...get on down the road!...and yeah..he made me so nervous when I would record..pacing..watching me...telling me.."Be spontaneous..be natural....that I finally MADE him leave the room when I was doing my vocals...it worked...He is an absolute genuis at what he does...and yes...despite appearances and set-backs..he will deliver the goods...DPX is a finisher and the final product will be absolutely flawless...it will be worth waiting for....

Yes, he gets madder than a hornet over stupidity and minor irritations, but I care about him and I love him. He put up with me in his studio for almost a year working on this project...doing it my way..backwards...but hey...I didn't know I was going to almost die twice, Go through cancer surgery with my daughter, bury my Mother, lose a Grandchild, watch four of my friends in a row lose their children to death...didn't know I was going to take an unexpected hiatus..get my CDL and drive a Semi tractor-trailer rig with a 53' trailer across 43 states BY MYSELF, all the while working on material for the next two CD's.

DPX was the best looking guy in SA when he was a young, hot keyboard player..every guy wanted to be HIM...He was my boyfriend for a year when I was 19. When it comes down to the nut-kuttin'..he's a real stand-up guy, no matter what you might think...

He went to California to be with our dearest friend and musician, Barry Littleton during the last days of his life. He's there for Gypsy Doug...He was there for his Mother when she died a horrible death....He sent help for me in the Wilderness when I recently died of a staph infection from hell... He is what he is...love him or leave him...

Sometimes I want to strangle him because I don't get my way, but HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING and I have finally learned for the most part, to wait patiently for the final product, because when he gets through with it...it will be one of the most unique Christian CD's on the Planet. No I am not perfect..never will be. I hate religion and politics and am evolving into crossover music, because people who try to act all holier than thou, and self-righteous, and sanctified, and shove Jesus down your throat are the very reason no one wants to go to church, or seek the Lord....

FYI DPX knows the bible better than any Pastor..If HE ever cleaned up and reformed...the world better get out of his way, 'cuz he would be the most rip, roaring, snortin' tear their rear off when it needs to be shreaded Minister on the Planet... Hey...Lighten up all you haters....GET A LIFE!!!! Pick up a guitar....When the so called real Christians connect my 'Christian"(By the way..there is NO such thing as Christian music) CD produced in the CHURCH OF MACHINES recording studio..it will be real interesting to see who is real and who is not..Frankly I don't give a ratz-ass....I care about helping hurting people through the music...not fame, not fortune...I don't give a rat's rear end if anyone knows my name...but I DO care that they know there is a God that loves them...no matter how horrid they have been....Cox, Cureton and Taylor better hope that's true!

Don't hate DPX...LOVE him! Which one of you out there throwing stones at him verbally, is innocent of never sinning????? DON'T...I repeat DO NOT tangle with him...he'll win everytime...He is the Master of Verbal Rabies...quite an art, I might add... He is a legend in his own right and I have the utmost respect for him as an artist. Just Hide and Watch and wait for the release of the CD he's producing for me titled: "WHOSE HANDS ARE YOU IN?"...it will blow you off the planet...you will see another side of DPX that you never experienced before... Devilfish has evolved into Lantana XT...knock her down, mow her over, beat her down, shred her, try to get rid of her, and she'll come back up every time...blooming..just like the beautiful little Lantana bush. Because of all the Christian BS hypocrisy I have experienced...I am to the point where I am moving into a whole new arena of crossover music like Creed had to do...I might even get kicked out of church..who knows, but today, I am kind of like SPY V/S Spy...

Devilfish V/S Lantana. XT (Not copying DPX or ripping him off...just play with a Line 6 PODXT with my 12 string and a Carvin amp) ..or as Slayfoot called me today...Devilfish Lantana. Don't put me in a box...Jesus and I are picking our own way through the brambles of life. I've got my Jesus...you can have yours...just don't try to cram him down people's throats... I am in no way perfect, and never will be...but there was one who was....

Whatever your excuse was not to see Mel Gibson's 'Passion of the Christ'...what a wuz you are...DPX went with me to see it as we were putting together a real kick-ass song called 'HE GOT UP!'...it will knock your sneakers off! I don't care about record labels, or commercial vehicles...neither does DPX. If so-called Christians want to condemn me for recording with DPX..then oh well....I am as sick as he is of people claiming to be Christians and they are so full of themselves it makes me want to puke too. Just kick back and wait for the release...You just might be really surprised.

Check out Slayfoot on DPX's site...we are now committed to working together on composing another CD. Slayfoot ROCKS Baby!!!!!!! Life is good...unless you are Ram or Gypsy Doug at the moment. Get off your rag and do something that works...pray for Gypsy Doug to live. I want to go see him, but have to stay away from hospitals until I am fully recovered from my staph infection...if you are thinking about getting a tattoo...you better ask lots of questions and make sure they send in monthly spore counts from their autoclave system, and use disposible needles, gloves, have SOAP in the bbathroom and are using sterile methods....I could scare you worse than DPX with a picture of the staph infection I got on my angel tat....It almost took me out...

The best thing to come out of it so far, is DPX sending Slayfoot to my door in the wilderness...Stay tuned...music is being developed that will PROVE SLAYFOOT ROCKS!!!!!! ...Stay tuned...Stop condemning...THAT job exclusively belongs to DPX! He's Hot Baby!!!!!!
