I got a real purdy toof today. Awww. I have a terrific dentist, who seems to believe I should have my teeth for the rest of my life barring serious disagreements with bikers armed with lead pipes. He has a new $90,000 computerized system that creates a tooth with lasers, using a thing that looks like a computer printer. They stick a weird little camera down into the hollowed out tooth (like where the filling would go) and it takes a 360-degree pic, then sends the info over to the tooth-makey thingie. Unbelievable. Fortunately, my dentist is a very kind person who can stick a needle into your gums multiple times and yet you feel grateful, like letting Michelangelo paint your spare bedroom ceiling or something. Unfortunately, it's a molar so my efforts at showing off the new masterpiece involves sinking two fingers into my jowls and hauling my cheek way up while pointing way up into my mouth with my other hand, and saying in a firm, steady voice; "that one. Right THERE." Now I'm off to make dinner in a blender. Not a good night for fajitas, I imagine.
