Still laughing at Cureton's "career"

all the rinky dink gigs fell thru

for years, Steve Earl Cureton bemoaned his lowly status as "live gig mic cord schlepper", hoping someday to work his way up to the burgeoning homemade CD fad here in town. Alas, Mike Taylor wouldn't let him share in any of the Bexar Nekkid fame (which has now disapated since it was just a cover), and all Cureton had left was the same old funky gigs he was sick of. Well, thanks to his wonderful drinking on the job, Cureton has been "relieved" of the burden of his old standby gigs of yesteryear, I'm speaking of the famed OYSTER BAKE and the ubiquitous FOLK LIFE FESTIVAL. It seems that some other "friends" of Steve put in a good word for him and he is no longer welcome at these gigs he did for something like 17 years in a row. So how does it feel Steve? You not only aren't on any CD's, you're not at any live gigs either! Because I BOUGHT my own studio equipment, i've lost count of how many CD's I've been on recently. Lots of Christian things for some reason. You should try BUYING YOUR OWN equipment sometime, as opposed to stealing from other people. Its funny how karma works out, eh?
