It starts and ends with how you plug it in. You CAN use the line input on your soundcard, but its not good enough, there WILL be buzz. If that's all you got, then use what you got. You can reduce buzz later, but why put it in in the first place? The best input to a soundcard is digital from the DJ mixer. The second best is a shielded analog input to the computer. I would have to get a PCI or USB I/O box of some kind. It would have a fat wire coming from the PC to a box called a "breakout", basically a plug in and out spot, away from the crazy RF from the PC. (radio frequency - old name for computer hash, btw, computerhash is TOO COMPLEX to filter completely, so it must be prevented!) The digital in/out is called a SP/DIF "spiddif". That's the best. But you know what? really good 24 bit analog inputs sound GREAT, if its in/out a breakout. The soundcard line input might be a good start. More tech comment later. Let;s hear from POJ, he's done it.
