He was the captain of the HMS Bounty, of mutiny fame. He was a real guy, a real dickhead, with a nasty temper. You know the old saying "cursing like a sailor"? When Captain Bligh lost his temper he would explode into these rants that were mindboggling, but FUNNIER THAN SHIT! I can't quote it for shit because its very British, but its authentic sailor cursing and you just can't believe how funny it is in retrospect. This guy used to make his officers CRY in front of the whole crew. One time he was missing some coconuts and he screamed: "You thieving lovers of whores! I'll have your guts cut out and burned before your eyes!" HAHAHAHAHAHA. At one point he says, "I'll have you pissing on nettles, you mutton polishers!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA You gotta read this shit, there's nothing else like it in the English language.
