Monde now has Reaktor 5 installed. It doesn't like me. It's silent, totally. Fidgeted with the ASIO and DirectSound and all that and got it to play preview wavs, BFD. Dug out the docs, scanned them, went back to the setup, fiddled with it and pressed buttons that looked very much like they SHOULD make sound. I figure this is going to happen like my Intense Experience of "Eureka" after messing with Live for just long enough, except with Live I didn't start off with silence, I had sound, but it took me a while to do the integration thing. Now I find 1/3 of the new album's mp3s are gacked, overmodded and have to be redone, and on top of that, TODAY just found out AOW is expected to live maybe 2-3 weeks, since he is dying of the same fucking disease (cancer) that killed Waa. I'm so frustrated on so many different levels my brain blew about 40 fuses and I haven't even got to the crying part yet. When I'm not hanging out with Aow calming his poor soul (I think this makes a difference, the vets said the SAME thing about WAA but 2 weeks became 2 years with no cancer treatment but LOVE) I fiddle with Reaktor to put my frustration against its frustration. THAT alone should generate feedback. Augh. Seriously though, did it do this for you, too, when you first played with it?
