FORT SUMNER, N.M. - A homeowner who wanted to get rid of a mouse he caught decided to dispose of it in a pile of burn- ing leaves. It wasn't such a smart idea, however, as the mouse got its revenge by running back to the man's house and setting it on fire. "I had some leaves burning outside, so I threw it in the fire, and the mouse was on fire and ran back at the house," Luciano Mores said. The burning mouse ran right below a window, and the fire spread from there and throughout the house. "I've seen numerous house fires," village Fire Department Capt. Jim Lyssy said, "but nothing as unique as this one."
