Why just the Wal-Mart flag pole? I say go with Target and McDonald's, too. It's only now that I realize how fucking creepy it was to have a big golden arches FLAG flying out on the playground at McDonald's when I was a kid. Had they put someone's head atop it - the Burger King or Wendy, perhaps - they would have cemented their dominance in the fast food world. Now look at them. One documentary - a really good one, by the way - and McDonald's is completely pussified. See, the Jack in the Box folks knew that putting heads on poles was the best way to advertise their chain, hence the dumb-ass Jack head on everyone's antennae. If Hollywood remakes "Them," they should pay for it with a product placement and get Jack heads dangling from the antennae of the giant ants. You'd still be unable to avoid the inevitable cheepnis, but it's a hearty laugh. I have no idea what I just said, so don't quote me, boy.
