Actually Steve Irwin was an expert in what he was doing. He didn't take unnecessary risks....EVER....period. He was one of the best experts on crocs and croc handling on earth. His death was one of those freak accidents. He was working on some footage for a kiddie doc when he accidentally 'boxed' the Stingray, which then stung him. He died not because of the stingray venom, but because he was unlucky to have the sting through his heart, which was described as "having a knife put through the heart". These kinds of accidents are extremely rare....regrettably it happened to Irwin. The nerd-community (of which I consider myself a very proud member) will miss him ! Rest in peace mate ! Xal
