He gripped the handlebars the best he could with his one good arm and ignoring the pain from his mangled arm he forged on with that type of courage that is born of desperation. As the bicycle spun out of control his mind raced, if he could only reach the relative safety of the sidewalk before the damaged rear wheel spun totally to peices... The massive blood loss and exertion were beginning to take their toll and his mind spun, just like the careening machine of death he was perched upon. (to be continued... maybe)
