Judge Declares Sperm To Be A Controlled Substance

Maria Parlevecchio and her husband, Antonio, bribed a guard to smuggle Antonio's sperm from prison, but was caught be- fore she could use the fluid. Details are sketchy as to how she was caught red handed so-to-speak. Her attorney has promised to appeal and said, "Maria is ex- hausted by this entire ordeal. All she wanted was to get pregnant by her husband and since conjugal visits have not been allowed, this was the only way. This is ridiculous. It is not like his sperm is an illegal substance." This case gets even more bizarre as Maria's lawyer sounds like a hoot. He says that she is being treated as if she was an "underage cheerleader in a boys' locker room" and that as far as he knew, transferring sperm was not an illegal act. The judge felt differently because Antonio smuggled the sperm illegally...and even if it had been chewing gum, it still would have been illegal. It was the act of "smuggling" that riled the judge, not the product being smuggled.
