That's vile. My dog used to kill possums and armadillos - and anything else that got in the back yard, and she'd carry em around playin with em for two or three days afterwards til they were covered in maggots and stiff. She wouldn't turn loose of em for love or money, though she'd drop em and run up to me to give me kisses if I wasn't careful. I had to wait til she wasn't payin attention or trick her with food and then run out there with a shovel and toss whatever it was back over the fence into the pasture. I had hell lookin at this writhin mass a maggots and stiffened carcass, and I very nearly landed it back on myself a time or two.
My dogs didn't have the sense to stay away from skunks at first, so I made it a point to shoot any skunks I saw on sight.
