I found the pic of Cap'n Gus online, about 5 years ago. If you search Captain Gus, you'll see a link to JOHN JAY HS 1970, its a page that has grown over the years. Back in 1998, the Cap'n Gus pic was on it. Its not there now, and I have no idea why. Perhaps if you contact that guy, he can tell you more. I remember him as being very friendly. Sorry, I can't really remember much else, there probably wasn't anything else to remember! Haha. I seem to remember Cap'n Gus mentioning the words "Pipe Creek" frequently. Its a town on the way to Bandera from San Antonio, on Highway 16, basically you drive out Bandera Road and just keep going. You can't miss it. One of Joe Austin's trademarks was his boots, very cowboy, they looked high dollar to me. I remember you could see them very well on the First Mate commercials. Destroying old film to save space is STUPID!!!!!! Give it to me, you bastards! My God, how STUPID can you get? And they're supposedly in the media business. What monumental dumbasses. Why don't you flush money down the toilet while you're at it?
