Has anybody heard of The Fungus Toenail Billboard controversy in San Antonio? Some millionaire bought some property near downtown, it has 4 billboards he wanted to rent out. The city wouldn't let him, so he had these "eyesore" images put on them. The citizens are all grossed out by a fat man's belly, a grody toenail, and some other gross stuff. The city council decided to capitulate, but then the Conservation Society threatened to sue, and the city backed down. The millionaire is sticking to his guns, and the hideous images remain in place. People driving around and seeing them are outraged. They've been on the news bitching about how grossed out they are. Of course, popeye-x APPROVES of such "art", and would like nothing better than to chronicle the images on this website. Does anyone know where I can get some .jpg's of these legendary San Antonio gross-outs? Any help on this would be appreciated, I don't think they will be up much longer. I don't remember where they are, I hear its somewhere near downtown, near the "historical" part of town.
