People always want to know how to get lots of hits on their websites. I've been studying this problem for over 5 years, there are a lot of variables, a lot of things to learn.
Lately I've been looking at daily server stats, its a completely different story from my hit counters. It says there are around 3,000 requests for popeye-x.com related pages per day. This is mind boggling. My front door counter is only 118,000+ after 5 years, 3000 per day is like a dream come true! This makes me want to webmaster even more than I do now, which is WAY too much as it is.
Then I had to be away from my PC for a few days. When I returned, I looked at the site's daily stats, and the page requests were now around 1400, less than half of what they were when I was webmastering all day and night.
If you're looking to DOUBLE your hits, do like me and spend copious amounts of time and energy creating and testing web material.
