I kinda take issue with this guy. I think his only real bitch should be at himself for givin up creative control of his music in an attempt to get recorded and promoted. If creative control is the priority, then you don't sign it away when yer whorin yerself off for the backin. I'm sure it sucks, but I mean, hell, you make the goddamn bed you sleep in, doncha? Fugazi's an indictment against every band that makes these claims about bein taken advantage of. I'm sure lots of bands get in trouble that way, but that's because the money and attention become more important to em than the fun of makin music; they sign away a pound of flesh for a pan of flash and then bitch about the way they're treated. Now, that don't excuse the buzzards feedin on their artistic carcass from havin their own special place in Hell; it just makes the artist complicit in this whole mess for showin his ass in public that way. Sometimes you just gotta suck it up and shut it up and grow it up and learn how to laugh hard at yourself for the stuff that hurts the fuckin most.
